Answer #1

Answer

Alsosterone acts on distal part of nephrone in kidney and enchances sodium reabsorption.

  • Medication that blocks the effects of aldosterone on the kidneys tend to interfere with the process of sodium reabsorption.
  • As a result there will be low sodium concentration in blood.
  • Sodium creates a concentration gradient for water to be removed from the body.
  • Medications blocks aldosterone to remove more sodium in urine. With sodium, excess water is too removed in the urine.
  • By removing excess water, fluid balance in the body is maintained that helps in lowering the blood pressure.
