There are mainly two types of roots, they are ventral root and
dorsal root.
Bell magendie law states that ventral spinal root transfer
motor impulses , where as dorsal spinal root transfer sensory
impulses.
Dorsal root is a posterior root present in the spinal cord and
nerve bundles are passed through the dorsal root to enter into
other parts of body.
Nerves from dorsal root combine with ventral root and form
afferent sensory nerve , which help in transfer of sensory
information from the body to the brain.
If dorsal root is broken , it will leads to absence of transfer
of information and no impulses are transferred from receptor.
