Interprofessional care is the   coordinated care  to patients by multiple caregivers who work together to deliver quality care by improving patients outcomes , fewer preventable errors , reduced healthcare cost , and improved relationships with other disciplines within and across settings to achieve common goals and solving complex issues.

Interprofessional care is developed by considering the issues, , who will be involved , , what will be the interventions and its goals , when will re-evaluation occur.  

Interprofessional care involves professionals who is in joint problem solving ,   Patient focused treatment goals ie the professionals have an overlap of responsibilities , collaboration and communication between other disciplines , and active participation of the patient and family.
