What is the purpose of selecting the survey targets randomly?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

While performing a survey, we can have a large population(that includes everyone). Most of the time, it is not possible to survey the whole population due to cost or time issues.

The sample is the observations drawn from the population, we do take samples while performing any survey.

Random sampling is a critical element of the overall survey research design. Random sampling allows us to select sample members by chance. Due to this, we are able to take every kind, if not every then most of the kind, of observations present in the population.

Survey is performed effectively when we choose random sampling.
