Outcome: The possible result for a random experiment is called its outcome.

For example if you Toss a Coin there are two possible results that can occur, that is head can come or tail can come.

So the possible outcomes are head or tail.

In probability there are certain terminology we should be familiar with.

First of all, whatever we do, for example we Toss a Coin, roll a die etc.. is called a random experiment.

ok so it is called experiment and the various possible results of this experiment are unpredictable, we cannot estimate or calculate or determine.

Hence we call those those results as random and these results are also called outcomes for random experiment .
