A pharmacist wants to compare a health outcome among three treatment groups. The health outcome data is ordinal (Likert) scale. So a non parametric test must be used as no assumption of normality is required . The t test and one way ANOVA being parametric test cannot be the correct option as assumption of normality of population is required for both of them.Wilcoxon rank sum test is a non parametric test and is used to compare two related samples and is alternative of parametric paired t test when the population is not normally distributed.

To compare three or more groups the Kruskal–Wallis test. is used.

Since three treatment group is to be compared the Kruskal–Wallis Analysis is the most suitable that is the best choice among the given test.

Hence option A is the correct answer.
