Find the z-score for which the area to its left is 0.47.

Find the z-score for which the area to its right is 0.21.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

We can easily found the z score in R

Code for the same is attached herewith

A)

So z score for area to the left of 0.47 is -0.0752

B)

Since the R code gives the z score for the area to left of the given value

In normal distribution we know that it is symmetric distribution

So Z score corresponding to the  area to right is equvivalent to the (1-area) to the left

i.e., we can find it in such a way that a score to area to the left is (1-0.21) = 0.79

and it is equal to 0.8064212
