Conclusion of the scenario:

If ice cream is sold more, we will have more deaths due to drowning

Mistake in the conclusion:

In reality, there is no relation at all between the sale of ice cream and the deaths due to drowning. The spurious correlation between the sale of ice cream and the deaths due to drowning is due to the presence of the Confound Variable: Hot Summer. Since it is Hot Summer, many people eat ice cream; as a result, there is an increase in the sale of ice cream. Since it is Hot Summer, people go for water sports, which some times causes accidents involving deaths due to drowning
