Question

Is qualitative data both numeric and non numeric

Is qualitative data both numeric and non numeric

Homework Answers

Answer #1

No, qualitative data will not be both numeric and non numeric. We know that the qualitative data is only non-numeric in nature. For example, the qualitative variable is given as the colour of the marble, then the variable can non numeric values such as red, green, purple, yellow, black, etc. There are so many qualitative variables we need during statistical analysis such as gender of person, country of person, education of person, etc. Sometimes we use numerical coding for describing these variables but actually they do not have numeric in nature. Only for convenience, we use numeric code for analysis purpose.
