Intelius is an example of a decoupled organization. In order avoid all of the negative publicity surrounding the moral this organization had to change their name. They encouraged honesty and loyalty amongst their employees yet they unethically targeted their customer base by enrolling them into ongoing services unknowingly. The organization received hundreds of complaints on a daily basis yet they did nothing to fix the problem until the government had to intervene and force them to change.

An example of an ethically transformed organization is star bucks as this organization sees ethics as its end in itself. Exceeds legal requirements, is sensitive to moral issues, emphasizes adherence to shared values and punishes misbehavior.
