6) Sociology is related to technology and media .

Technology and media are interlinked , hence are inseperable . Media , refers to a way of printing , digitalised and electronically means of communicating. Technology is the medium through which the news are spread across all regions to the people.

It is due to the presence of technology , media is there.

Types of media and technology :

1. Print Newspaper :

With the invention of the printing press ,the pattern of people sharing their ideas and information could be produced in mass . Though nowadays , the internet provides the e- newspaper . Many people read newspapers in internet , as they do not get the time to sit and read. Reading e - newspapers are convenient too.

2. Television and Radio :

People staying in any part of the world can listen to radio . It helps in sharing ideas , and also a medium of communciation . Through radio , people can know about the problems/conflict going on around the world.

People prefer to watch television more in order to keep themselves updated. It helps in spreading awareness among people .

3. Film

It is a mode of entertainment and also an effective means of comminication. Through fims , one can beautifully depict what wrong is going on in the society and can be rectified. It helps to send a message to the country . Eg : A film speaking on the sanitation problem in Indian villages , tries to speak about the problems they generally face and how it can be solved.?

4. Product Advertising

It is a way of strategically selling the product. Here the product is being sold , using platforms such as TV , Radio, public meetings, promotions , etc. TV, Internet , Radio are the mediums by which the product are being sold. Hence , technology is an important medium of advertising the product .
