Infants go from babbling to saying one words that are easy for them to pronounce such as words that start with “wh”. Why is that?
The language development is all about sounds that baby can produce, when we say we do not require much efforts like r or D etc. Sounds which comes easily are being said first. As they try to speak they make sound and they enjoy those sounds and keep on repeating them. Intially one complete word which is made up of 3-4 alphabets or 2-3 sounds is difficuilt, hence they try to pick up the easy sound. For eg: for nose if they are able to say z or syllable first they would say that and not n.
