What do you think are the most important reasons for low public trust in government? How could public trust in government be increased?

The lack of trust in government could be due to various reasons:

1) Because of corrupt officers.

2) It's always seen, government bodies takes an eternity to solve a simple problem.

3) The procedures which involves permission of government, for example, building a house in a particular or something like that, is too long and tiring.

4) The government officers as often seen as lazy people trying to avoid work.

However, the trust could be increased by replacing the corrupt officers and making strict rules against bribe. When government officers starts empathising with public, it would be better for everyone. The trust could be increased by providing people with sinpls facilities like electricity,water, better roads etc. There should be strict rules on public too! For example, strict action against bribe, fine for violating traffic rules etc.
