What are some individual and societal factors that contribute to an increase in prost-itution?

Factors leading to an increase in pros-titution include:

  • The increase in demand from the men.
  • There is a tendency of the society to avoid any discussions regarding this topic, leading to a serious neglect and ignorance.
  • Increase in trafficking of the girls from other countries, in response to money requirements and demands from the wealthy men.
  • The race of a person is one of the major aspects that lead to trafficking. Along with race, the location that a woman would be in, is another reason that increases the likelihood of trafficking
  • With women having lesser options to earn, with a decreasing economy, there se-x trafficking which seems as an open industry, whose demand never ceases.
  • Another reason of pros-titution is po-rnography. Though this industry doesn’t directly affect pros-titution, it shows the mindset that people have, where they would want to view minors with grown men, signifies why this industry is still proliferating.
