Chapter 7 Put It in Writing Activity:
In one page, write your own definition of intelligence. Make a list of at least seven behaviors or characteristics that you feel represent intelligence and then decide how they could best be tested in children and adults from your own culture and other cultures. Describe the kinds of difficulties you encountered in making your list and designing your assessment devices. Please use examples and references.
Intelligence is individual’s capacity to act and think logically and rationally . It is individual’s ability to deal with different situations differently and effectively .
Seven behaviours that represent intelligence :-
1.Persistence: not surrendering when the response to an issue isn't instantly known.
2.Metacognition- - familiarity with how you're considering, recognizing what's happening in your mind when you're considering.
3.Questioning and issue posturing: making inquiries and discovering issues for yourself.
4.Applying past knowledge to new circumstances: calling upon your store of knowledge and experience as wellsprings of information, speculations to clarify, or procedures to unravel each new test.
5.Precision of language and thought: utilizing more illustrative terms to recognize protests, and giving criteria to esteem judgments.
6.Using every one of the senses- - feeling, seeing, hearing, notwithstanding tasting keeping in mind the end goal to all the more viably issue tackle.
7.Creativity- - utilizing inventiveness, innovation and understanding: building up the ability to create unique, smart or sharp items, arrangements and procedures.
Difficulties encountered while making the list -
> intelligence is a very broad term and includes so many aspects . Selecting the top 7 out of them was a challenge .
