if someone has never learned psychology.
Testosterone the gonadal steroid or the hormone that regulate
sex behavior in most of the species are responsible for inter- male
aggression in antelope species during the mating season. During the
breeding season high testosterone levels boost up energy levels in
male antelopes, they defend for their territories and the females
and the winners mate with females to pass on their genes to next
generation.
High level of estrogen is associated with maternal instinct in
female of most species.Example ,the felines are most ferocious
protecting their offsprings. Thus, estrogen a gonadal steroid or
hormone is responsible for aggression during the maternal stage in
females.
