Answer #1

Fascism is a having a dictator rule the country with control over people and everything and also have the power to supress someone who criticise or does not follow. This can be a rule by government or people. This was predominantly associated with German Nazi and Italian regimes that came to power after World War I. Adolf Hitler in Germany, Benito Mussolini in Italy, Francisco Franco in Spain and Juan Peron in Argentina were well-known fascist leaders of the 20th century.

People liked the process and way of handling situations, nation building activity, finance management and many other things by these leaders and that’s why they extend their support towards it. These leader main aim was to make the nation stronger, more powerful, larger and more successful. Since fascists see national strength as the only thing that makes a nation good they started being followed by the population and obeyed.

Advantage of Fascist rule –

1.Patriotism - All started following the leader and they created a common feeling of patriotism towards their country.

2. Equality - Fascism aims to unite the people by getting rid of socio-economic classes and creating equality among everybody. Since the government is in full control of everybody, it can demand that the rich give up their wealth so it can be distributed among the poor. This created a nationwide equality and unity.

3. Fast Decision – As the power was only with one, with full control decision on any subject was fast and quick and it solved every problem quicky so that time can be invested in other major aspects.

4.Country always first – As leader is having full control they always worked for the country and all followed them likewise which eventually helped in the nationwide growth.

5. Integrity, Law and order – All used to follow law due to fear and this binded the whole population as a unit.

Disadvantage of fascist rule -

  1. No Voting system – Country leader was the only one to have control over everything and citizen was not having any option to choose their leader as no system of vote and selection existed.
  2. Abuse of power – Sometime the leaders and their subordinate used to use the power in wrong way and resulted in crimes like murder, rape, trafficking, bonded labour etc.
  3. Unbalanced economy – As leaders first priority was the country they use to spend money in every possible way to maintain the power and this drained the asset and fund completely which unbalanced the economy.
  4. No Freedom of speech – No one in the country was allowed to give their suggestion and criticize the government for anything as power was only with leader and it was not encouraged throughout the country.
