Social exchange theory is the states about of out responses exchange in the society Eg: If we are expecting or experiencing positive response from a person it is more likely that we would always interact with the that person and vice versa with a person who comes up with negative behaviour towards us.

For eg. If we see any restaurant where the staff including managers waiters etc is polite and friendly to guests it is more likely that we would go there. This includes waiting time associated or if the dish is wrongly served then soving problems of the customer. This is in large scale if the hotel is 7 star or 5 star. There is lot of customer satisfaction survey involved these days which is available on internet. This makes views of the restaurant available to mass.

Hence social exchange theory is often used in economics or politics
