What is the meaning of life?
This is a highly subjective question, one that does not, unfortunately, have any clear answer. The existentialism school of thought addresses this query quite sufficiently, in a way that is not irrational yet leaves sufficient hope for us mortals. Life in itself has inherently no meaning. Though it may appear that we are absolutely free to choose our actions, our choices are very much restricted by environmental circumstances over which we have no control over. The scale of the universe is simply to magninimous for our actions to have any real consequence at all. Given this condition, the meaning of life is now only what we want it to be. Life is made meaningful by our own perceptions of what makes it so, and it upto every individual to decide for himself or herself.
