When working with the so called 'jerks' within a given organization, the best way to deal with communication with them is to have a calm and soothing conversation as opposed to letting your mirror neurons imitate their actions and their way of talking.
It is better to communicate with them in a group in order to show them the irrationalities of their behavior.
The third way is to minimize communication with them as opposed to cutting a ties as they need to be approached every once in a while for work.
