Married couples do come for counselling due problems that they face in their relationship. They are very few couples who go fpr premarital and post marital counselling as the normal course.

Whenever there is a divorce case in India, there is counselling done before signing of final papers. When the relationship doesn't works people usually apply for the divorce. Both spouse use abusive languages to target each other eventually. In very few cases it is the case of extra marital affair, which also can be over comed.

Abusive relationship may include insulting each other, talking with each other rudely, being negligent to spouse's requests. Abusive relationship turn out to be very bad for the children, they hear very wrong things at early age. The couples needs to be taught how to handle and maintain the partner instead of entering into any abusive relationship. If such relationship continues the couple may physically harm each other, hence it is very necessary to detect abusive relationship during counselling.
