Role performance

Role performance is how an individual expresses his/her given role in a social setting.Individuals may have to perform different roles depending on the situation and the people involved.A man may behave completely different around his close friends and his boss.Most of the time, people are not even aware that they are playing completely different roles infront of different audience.

Role exit

Role exit can be defined as the process by which an individual stops engaging/performing a role that was an important part of their identity and starts establishing an identity based on his/her new roles.A man who used to be a workaholic after becoming a father starts spending more time at home with his family.
