Introduction :- Butler's circularity objection is about the personal identity only that's why that is related to Locke's account of personal identity. In, both of this theory they are searching for an individual self which also alive after death. As, locke discussed about the survival of conscioness after death, butler's circularity objection is also depend on this theory only in which finding about the consicioness after death.

Locke's explained his theory with the help of prince and cobber in which every thought and views in cobbler body, And his soul departed with cobbler. with story he tried to explain about the identity of an individual with soul , which also alive after death of an individual. Butler's circularity objection also show favour to his theory where he is talking about the existeness of an individual identity beyound life.
