Assume that as a result of HR planning, a hospital identifies a shortage of clinical psychologists but a surplus of administrative workers. Discuss the actions that might be taken to address these problems, and explain why they must be approached carefully.

Answer- The officials of hospital should take actions in following ways-

1) The officials of hospital should create an opening in the organization for clinical psychologist and should call for applications for this post.

2) The hospital should do proper advertising for the psychologists required in the hospital and should circulate this information on various social media, print media etc.

3) The administrative workers should be involved in recruitment role so that they can hire the competent applicants in the organization.

These problems must be approached carefully because there should be right number of people in the organization who can work on different issues and solve different problems. The excess number of employees or the lack of sufficient number of employees proves to be detrimental to the organization. So, an organization should be very careful about it.
