Generally, it is found that wealthier and more educated mothers have better outcomes because they have security and less stressful environments. These women have many resources to live a healthy life. On the other hand, American African women have negative impact of racism. It increases stress which makes nourishment to the baby difficult. The stress of racism have a great impact on pregnancy and they do not have good resources as well. As a result, African American women have worse outcomes than their white counterparts.
