How are the biological, sensory and
perceptual processes, learning, memory, intertwined, Thought,
intelligence, motivation, and emotion?
These are referred to as the basic
psychological processes, which include:
- sSensation: these include five
sense of sound, smell, touch, taste and sight. The sensory
information is obtained in its raw form by the receptors, which are
processed by the brain.
- Perception is when we identify as
well as understand a particular information.
- Only when we pay attention in front
of a particular person or in response to a particular stimuli, we
would be encoding the information, such that it would be stored in
the short term memory, which, in turn gets stored in the long term
memory.
- Further, these sensations would be
affected by the expectations that a person has, such that the
memory encoded would be on the basis of the experiences that a
person has faced.
