In order to work in a addiction agency as a professional CADC or Certified Alcohol and other drugs abuse counsellor certification is required for fulfilling eligibility criteria of examination offered by ICB or Illinois Certification Board(formerly IAODAPCA). It is a 225 hours certification course on Alcohol and other drug abuse.

It is very useful and beneficial course for medical student those want to become an alcohol drug abuse counsellor.

On completion of this course, a student can work in deaddiction centres or open their own clinics mostly alcohol and drug addiction and rehabilitation centres.

This courses give the student in-depth knowledge about drugs and alcohol and related desires and trained the students, how to handle patients on treatment and how to handle after treatment issues like withdrawal symptoms, depression, social isolation etc.
