Two types of ambivalence are given below:
1. Felt ambivalence
It is also known as subjective ambivalence. It shows the psychological experience of affective, cognitive, and behavioural) manifestation in order to evaluate something. When an individual aware to varying level, discomfort occurs which produces conflict attitude to a specific stimulus.
2. Potential ambivalence
It is also called objective ambivalence. In this type of ambivalence simultaneous experience of positive and negative evaluation for specific stimulus. It an indirect detection of conflict of attitude. In it, individual does not have entire knowledge of their attitude conflict. It helps to stop factors that can affect attitudes.
