Answer #1

IgG and IgM antibody is found to be abundant in plasma. IgG has highest opsonization and neutralization activities but IgM secreted upon the antigen invasion and increases transiently.

IgG gets transferred to the fetus through placenta and protects from viral infections and protects newborn until own immune system is not functional. It recognizes antigen-antibody complex by leukocytes and macrophages.it accounts for 70-75% of human immunoglobulins(antibody).

IgM produced by B cells when they encounter the viral, bacterial infection. It is responsible for the higher avidity for antigen due to pentameric /hexameric structure. It accounts for 10% of antibody.
