(Answer) Intuition isn’t absolute; it is a matter of gut, emotions, surmises and reconnaissance. Common sense is subjective. To some, it would be common sense to acquire a better outcome, to some, it would be to learn from the problem; to others, it might be to ignore the problem.
Information from blogs is written by individuals who have their own intuition, common sense, biased opinions etc. That is why it is easy to find blogs that are riddled with opinions and devoid of facts. It is not to say that all blogs are inadequate but, it most cases, the information is based on the writer’s perception and views.
A scientific approach, on the other hand, would entail gathering information through research. The reported would then conduct an analysis of the facts gathered and then coming up with the most cogent reports about the situation. When this has been the road take to acquire, analyse and interpret the information, it becomes more trustworthy. I, as a viewer would know that the reporter has actually gone into the field, recorded observations and made a report based on the truth.
In the information highway, one must be able to spot credible sources, good reporters, legitimately cited information and information based on ethical studies and honest facts. In most cases, all of these criteria are fulfilled through information attained by scientific approaches.
