This sense of entitlement is relevant in sexual harassment, rape, and the abuse of women because such an entitlement promotes sense of inequality and dominating behavior of by males to control not only emotions of females but also harass them physically. This must be stopped in the societies and cultures through awareness of equality.

Two general categories of sexual harassment are:

(1)“quid pro quo” sexual harassment.

(2)“hostile work environment” sexual harassment.

(1)“quid pro quo” sexual harassment: For example, quid pro quo sexual harassment may occur when a supervising employee requests that a lower-ranked employee do some kind of sexual favor for them. In return, the supervising employee will then receive a perk, such as extra pay, a higher-ranking position, or more seniority within the company.

(2)“hostile work environment” sexual harassment:

Examples of hostile work environment sexual harassment may include:

• Repeatedly telling dirty jokes or sexual stories &
• Creating images, statues, pictures, dolls, or icons that are sexual in nature, or have a sexual undertone to them

These examples tell that sexual harassment is an important issue because it demonstrates that we should implement mechanisms to address the practices against these kinds of exploitations which are nowadays quite common in the society and workplaces.
