Examine the early Reformation under Martin Luther.
The early Reformation under Martin Luther was based on the concept of justification that; by faith alone through God's grace and God's act of declaring a sinner righteous; salvation or redemption is a gift of God. It is attainable only through faith in Jesus as the Messiah. Thus according to Luther salvation leading to eternal life is not earned by good deeds but are received only as the free gift of God's grace through the believer's faith in Jesus Christ as redeemer from sin. He challenged the authority of the pope and taught that Bible is the source of all divine knowledge from God. "Disputation of Martin Luther on the Power and Efficacy of Indulgences", also known as the Ninety-five Theses formed the basis of all his reformation.
