You have been told that you must give up one of your senses. Which one would you choose not to have? Why would you choose this sense and not one of the others? Describe the physiological process/physical structures that would be affected by your lack of this sense?
If I had to give up one of my senses, it would be the ability to taste. I would imagine that the inability to detect sweetness, sourness, bitterness, saltiness, and umami would be somehow easier to cope with. This is because these not not particularly relate to my survival and ability to function in my day to day life. The ability to feel, hear, see and smell are more vital for my existence and I would be seriously disabled if I lost them. As a consequence, perhaps, I may end up losing any interest in eating.
