Answer #1

I have been actively involved in the budget process at my organization. I am working for a telecom company and handle the site costs i.e. rent paid for the telecom site and the energy consumed. My role is to collaborate with the netwrok team and provide the total number of sites which exist on the budgeting date and the energy expected to be consumed by these sites. Thus, I contribute towards the cost part of the budget.

I think the people at my level in the organization should provide budget inputs as they are aware about the ground level reality and can come up with accurate data. The process I would change about budgeting in my organization is to justify the budget in comparison to last year as inflation is not incorporated in the questions asked by the top management.
