yes, the quality and rigor of higher education in the United states competitive with that of other technologically advanced societies, as we can see this with the example of researches and studies through survey done by other newspapers... Example in survey studies 2013-2014 Times education ranking we can see USA ranking is almost at the top.

In, technologically advanced societies Australia and UK are also good in higher education and technologically advanced in world if we are not talking about the survey. USA proved themselves best in sustaning techology and advanced education and research, as we all know that best research center are in United state . So, no doubt we can conclude that the quality of higher education in the United state there is no competition.
