A Survey refers to a systematic collection of facts related to people residing in a specific geographic, cultural, or administrative area. In other words, a survey is a tool to collect data, analyze and interpret the views of a group of people in a given community. Surveys are popular in various fields of research, such as sociology, psychology, marketing research, and politics. On the other hand, a questionnaire refers to a set of written questions used for collecting information for the purposes of a survey or statistical study. In other words, when conducting a survey the list of questions is called questionnaire.  A questionnaire has a set of printed or written questions with a choice of answers that is filled by the respondents designed for a particular study. So, a questionnaire is a tool to be used for conducting a survey.
