What is the importance of focusing on certain groups of victims like women or the elderly? Why is it important to track hate crimes? What about other categories like organized crime, cyber crime and others? How will tracking these victims and types of crimes help to prevent or reduce them in our society?

Hate crimes that are conducted from a certain type or group of people towards another group or type of people is a common phenomenon in our current society.

It is rudimentary to track these victims and and the types of crimes that have been committed against them in order to reduce future potential crimes, as it helps profile the victims, that is, what it is that comes me ever of society to attack certain people, and this would help in further developing a criminal and behavioral profile of the ones who are the perpetrators, so that it makes it easier to catch these criminals.

Profiling helps in understanding the cognition that drives most hate crimes.
