Focus Goal

Setting goals for a health care facility may be one of the most important duties as a hospital executive. ("NRC", 2020). East Chestnut Regional Health System is a part of determination of other hospitals that did not quit building their hospital. The focus goal of building a strong hospital is spending time as an executive group developing the strategy of each area of the facility. This process can be strategically accomplished with each member having an area to focus on the facility goals and making sure all decisions for the health care facility are good moves for the growth of patients, employees, stakeholders, marketing and advertisement. ECRH was established by some great keynote leaders being in place to strategically seek after the hospitals that were producing and increasing in certain areas, all of the hospitals were strong in certain areas, putting them together to create ECRH was the focus goal, the hospitals set out to grow separately but the growth and establishing one hospital with all of the hospitals different health care functions and to increase and create the health care areas that were lacking such as mental health and Women’s health care, these services were not obtainable standing alone.

Performance Benchmark

When programing for trial, the criterion process for locking down facilities requires to modify. Agreeing to the fact inquiry, the assessment practices of gauging to reach the management’s ambition is to enhance healthcare duties that have dropped off early. When Women’s status centers become decline, ECRH had the obligation to recover growing services including breast care and neonatal intensive care system. Also, specialist must have an attachment with wives to control their vigor condition.

Many cardiologists planning retiring age next succeeding quantities that valuable experiences cardiology can progress to help deal with an intelligence appearance. The team (ECRH) agency must establish promoting the behavior of consumers duties in the emergency department and extend focus training outcome program. Then, there are the requires for the management of maximize development operation to strengthen the transition and expansion in the business.

Brand Management

Individually each of the facilities had established a reputation which developed their brand over the years. The brand of the organizations contributed to the success or lack thereof to the organization’s ability to maintain and increase patient population, retain clinical staff and become a pillar in their communities. Collectively the strategy to brand ECRH needs to pull the best parts of each facility and use it to create a new narrative when considering health care needs. Promotion for being a Level 1 Trauma Center that the community has recognized, while still providing care beyond the competitor’s (BMC) scope of care. "It's no secret that the world of health care brand experience and measurement is broken - and the consumer mindset is seriously misunderstood," (Monigle, 2010). Utilizing consultation findings like those of Faith & Main ECRH can use the voice of the community to grow this organization and every entity to be branded as a valuable community asset.

Marketing Objective

An exceptional organization from the perspectives of patients and employees is the overall marketing objective. According to a survey of U.S. managers, the number of firms with structures organized around distinct customer groups will soon exceed 50%, as more firms attempt to increase their customer centricity and thereby improve their performance (Day 2006). To achieve the marketing objective the strategy implemented needs to be built around customer centricity. There is an expressed desire for women’s services across the communities that the research supports women will travel for services that meet their needs. Using data that supports the consumer’s wants can be used to cultivate services, strengthening departments.

Target Marketing

Targeting marketing, is a practice used to more effectively to address the wants and needs of medical care, which involves market segmentation, targeting, and product positioning. ("NCBI", 2020) Taking a survey of the population of people that is in the area, ERCH performed strategic reviews of the health care needs of the people as well. Their team recognized the treatment services that were missing and medical care that needed to be improved. And how the hospitals collaborated with certain hospitals to unite as a major health care facility for the area. This move into one health care facility put them in a position to be a competitor with other health care facilities and this also pushed them to increase their strategies and look at areas they needed to improve for example cardiologist team, united as women services , primary care plan strategy for home care, layout frame work for better communication, and develop a advertising campaign for ERCH. Targeting Marketing helps everyone stay focus in every area to bring and address all needs.

Value Proposition

After reviewing the services that are offered at East Chestnut Regional Health System (ECRHS), it is apparent that there are some services that need help and enhancement. Currently, they offer the following: Woman’s Health, Cardiology, Orthopedic, Emergency Department (ED), ambulatory care, general surgery, Oncology, and Trauma care. They recently closed Behavioral health and the Burn Center. Some areas of the services are struggling, while others are showing slow progress. As a health system, we should pool our resources to ensure that we take care of our patients better than any other system.

Women’s care is an area which needs attention, especially in the area of Obstetrics. While they continue to show growth in other areas, such as a women’s center with an attractive facility, breast care center and increase in neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). This is one area where we should focus and advertise more frequently. This is an area of specific practice that many area hospitals do not offer. A NICU requires specific certifications of nurses, such as RNC Certification for Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (RNC-NIC) (Nccwebsite).

With respect to our cardiac care services, with the new renowned cardiologist part of the system, we should focus our efforts to communicate to the public about their arrival. Many of our current cardiologists are considering retiring in the next few years, focusing our attention on attracting new and youthful practitioners should be a priority. At ECRH, this has historically been one of our stronger suited services for the community, we should consider continuing this practice.

Our Emergency Department (ED) has been struggling with value with respect to care with our current physician group. As a health system, we should be tuned into our patients, their needs and concerns. Being kind and respectful is one component to this, as a result, we should consider a new group of physicians. Many of our patients have complained of poor customer service, we should strive to do more for our patients. Disrespectful and rude comments towards our patients should not be tolerated.

Closing the behavioral health and specialty burn center is something that we should as a health system, consider re-opening. Especially the behavioral health center. Mental health is an area of specific need in our community, with many of the residents living in poverty throughout the counties the system serves. Many of these individuals have little to no access to behavioral health, which is becoming more of a mainstream ideal. For generations, discussing mental health had always been discouraged, however, considering social media, 1 in 5 people have mental health issues (newroadstrmnt, 2016).
