Answer #1

The U.S. marks its anniversary of the National Minimum Drinking Age Act, Heath, a famous scholar in this domain along with few other scholars still dare to ask an unpopular question: Would America be better served by reducing its drinking age - or at least encouraging states to set their own limits? However, given that WHO agrees with 18 being the minimum age at which individuals can indulge in drinking, it also seems to make sense that US does not focus on reducing this age limit. The scholars making this counter argument are doing with reference to families wherein kids are exposed to drinking at an early age at their tables by parents or other relatives. The alcohol they are essentially exposed to is primarily wine.

The age distribution of the population changes over time—in the United States, better health care (longer lives) and lower fertility (fewer kids) in recent years means that the proportion of people over age 16 is increasingly larger. At the same time, the labor force participation rate is likely to decline as baby boomers retire. Using the same method as in the previous problem, calculate total employment and the employment-to-population ratio based on the scenario in the table below. Year Unemployment...

A poll was conducted to find out whether people thought the United States should be involved in restrictions made on other countries’ nuclear programs. Respondents who answered positively were then asked to select a reason for this involvement. The respondents were grouped into two age brackets. Using a 0.01 significance level, a test statistic of 19.529 and a critical value of 9.210 were found. Use these values to test the claim that the age bracket is independent of the choice...
