Why do modern physics and quantum mechanics have more in common with music than classical physics?
Quantum mechanics is a building block of modern physics. According to quantum mechanics, particle and wave posses both property and a particular property depends on the type of interaction. when we talk about music, we produce sound from an instrument by adjusting the length of wire or the adjusting the length of hollow pipe or by stretching the surface of drum. A particular lenght or tension produce a sound so different combination produces different sound. similar condition in quantum mechanics , there are lots of states bu only those states will be in final result for which the state satisy the quantum numbers or selection rules.
but classical phhysics does not this type of combination .
