What is the density of the singularity inside a black hole? Why do astronomers need a better answer?

Singularity is a one dimensioanal point which contain huge amount of mass in an infinitely small space. Hence density of singularity of black hole is infinite. This is point of infite gravity or infinite curvature and general relativity breaks down here. We have no law to expain this situation. Hence astronomer need a better answer for this singularity so that law of Physics can give detail picture of singularity. Quantum gravity near future can be helpful for this purpose.
