How might one handle an increase in power dissipation using zeners? Design a power supply implementing these 1/2Watt zener diodes that can provide 250mW of power to a load from an input voltage ranging approximately 12-30 volts. Use standard resistor values.

Here the process by handling the increase in power dissipation using geners are given below. Here we take a circuit with a zener diode and a resistor and any npn power transistor. Here the positive side of zener is connected with base of transistor and the negetive side is conneceted to the emmiter junction and through the load and power supply.and the negetive side is connected to base terminal and the negetive goes to the collector throgh the positive side of both load and power supply.

Here we can see the extra power dissipated thorugh the circuit so in this way we can handle an increse in power dissiation in circuit by using zener diode.

This circuit will provide 250mW of power from an input of 12-30 volts source.
