I have to write an essay question about Newton's three laws that will require specific knowledge of all three and apply it to the problem, as well as explaining why something does and does not work out because of these laws. Can anyone give me a clear understanding of what these three laws do and how it shows us how things are and why certain things can't work out? Thanks!

*) In Formulating this three law, Newton's simplified his treatment of massive bodies by considering them to be mathematical points with no size or rotation. This allowed him to ignore factors such as friction, aim resistance, temperature, laterial properties, etc and concentrate on phenomena that can be describe soley in terms of mass, length and time.
