A typical microscope have three to four objective lens mounted on circular nosepiece which can be rotated to change and use desired lens

Least powerfull lens is called scanning objective lens and it have typically 4x magnification, 2nd objective lens is refered as small objective lens and it have 10x magnification.Most powerfull lens is large objective lens and have typically 40x - 100x magnification.We often start with scanning lens and goes on to large objective lens

Before changing we have to adjust mechanical stage to focus these lens properly
