Find the potential at a distance from a proton. What is the potential difference between two points that are 1.00 cm and 2.00 cm from a proton? Note that V = 0 at r = ∞.

Primary objective:

i) Please explain why the answer should be V2-V1 or V1-V2

ii) Please note i guess there are two parts of the question, "Find the potential at a distance from a proton." ( this is about derivation using, v = 0 at r = infinity)

A proton gun fires a proton from midway between two plates, A and B, which are separated by a distance of 11.7 cm; the proton initially moves at a speed of 123 km/s toward plate B. Plate A is kept at zero potential, and plate B at a potential of 693 V. With what speed will it hit plate A? Answer is not 2.47*10^5 m/s. Please help. Thank you!

In the Electric Potential Laboratory experiment, what does mean the letter A?, in this formula. V(r)=A ln(r/ra) Better to ask what is the name of each term in this formula? This is my Question to answer [[[Use the above to establish a value for the constant A. What units should it have?]]]] But I do not know HOW TO FIND V(r), in this formula, we measure 3 V------>, [V1 , V2 , V3] and we measured r, and we calculated...
