Phong reflection model is used in 3D computer graphics known as phong shading.This method is used for shading images with the help of phong reflection model.we do not consider light sources being obscured from the surface by other surfaces in this model because the reflection of light in different surfaces is important in this model.The light that is reflected from a shiny surface and a light that is reflected from non shiny or rough surface is considered in the phong reflection model.Rough surface has a diffused reflection of light but shiny surface has an intense specular highlights during the reflection of light.When we consider light sources being obscured we do not get better reflection on both the shiny and rough surface and it will affect in the accuracy of phong reflection model.
