Spectroscope: Observe the spectra of different light sources such as light bulb, sun, torch from your phone, compare them with each other. What are the differences? What do they result from? Are there differences in colors?

Answer #1

Sun is a complete dource of black body in which we can see light of every wavelength from ultraviolet to visible light to micro wave all are present in it. (100 nm to 1mm)

While if you look at mobile torch which emits white light which is mixture of all visible wavelengths VIBGYOR (4000 Angstrom to 7000 Angstrom)

and if we look a light bulb let's say sodium bulb which emits light of only two wavelengths 5890 Angstrom and 5896 A

So we can see that from sun to light bulb interval of wavelength between which light is emitted decreased so that's how we can compare them with there wavelength range .

Like all light, the light from the sun is an electromagnetic wave. In the vicinity of Earth, the average intensity of sunlight is about 1400W/m^2. For this problem, assume that sunlight is a monochromatic plane wave, so you can apply the equations for the energy and pressure of an EM wave. A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor device (p-n junction diode) that emits light when an electric current is passed through it. LEDs are becoming the most popular light sources because they are much more energy efficient than conventional incandescent light sources. While the "white" light produced by a light bulb or the sun is a blend of many different colors, and these sources typically produce a large amount of heat, LEDs release only one particular color of light, and...
