Answer #1

The different types of cloud offering can be classified into one of these types:-

1. SaaS: software as a service includes the use of cloud services to allow us to use a software which is based on cloud service as we would a normal software. Eg. Google Docs.

2. DBaaS: database as a service includes the maintenance and storage of database directly from the cloud. This includes the software and the service with its basic functionality and the ability to access this service from the cloud. Eg. Accenture cloud

3. IaaS: infrastructure as a service includes the use of an entire infrastructure which businesses or organizations can utilize which provides them with the access to an entire rely on personal space like an operating system would be, running directly from the clouds. Eg. Amazon AWS

4. Other services include testing, running and deployment of software, virtual space etc.

Both small and large organizations require the use of cloud services due to a number of reasons. Larger firms require a huge amount of data storage capabilities while they hare their in-house software and services. In their case, they require an infrastructure or a platform level service. Small organizations, however, make use of Saas and DBaaS and even PaaS but do not have the capital investment for investing in an IaaS service. For eg, Ubisoft makes use of Amazo's AWS service while smaller indie game companies can only utilize SaaS in their day to day implementation due to the difference in their scope of use as well as a financial constraint.
