Answer #1

The level of participatory management is almost 3 i.e. a lot of employees are encouraged to give their idea in bigger organization decisions, the employees are free to express their views and ideas, it is not like that only the top management would take all the major decisions rather employees of that particular department are involved in decision making because very individual is considered to be intelligent enough to express their opinions in running the business and hence the participatory management exists in the organization I am working for.

Example: It proved to be effective in a situation in which the coder of a particular department gave a better architecture of how the data should move from the database to a vendor site.

Also, it proved to be ineffective when rating system for suppliers was made and it resulted in business loss as negative rated suppliers did not renew the package and this idea was given by an executive of the organization and everyone agreed.

Knowling goes on to say about fear that once people know change is coming, 'you can cut it with a knife'. He implies this is normal as well, which I too agree. He then says that his way of 'dealing with it' is to tell people that they need to deal with the fear and not let it immobilize them into doing nothing. Again I agree with this statement, but I am not fully supportive of the notion that you...
