Broadly speaking it does mostly cocerned with the performance of employees in thier job.

It usally focuses on perfomance appraisal, employee training , and instruments which can help in observing employee behavior & competence.

Focusing on all these things helps in improving the competitve advantage of the organization, as employees are considered as cost factor and over all employee performance affects the major part of organization cost.

Better the employee behavior, performance and competence lesser will be the overall cost for the organzation.
